Implement Enhanced Cleaning & Sanitization Procedures

Providing a clean, risk-free environment for our guests and our staff is utmost important to Villa Mandevilla.  To that end, Villa Mandevilla will implement the following cleaning protocols to mitigate any spread of COVID-19.   Cleaning and Sanitizing of our accommodation will be completed by competent persons as follows:

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

1. All Villa Mandevilla staff will wear PPE as appropriate for the specific cleaning activity being completed.   Our Gold Standard Program Manager (Cora Guillen) who is a Registered Nurse will work with the Owner Patrick M. Roemer, who is an OSHA 30 Certified Health and Safety Officer, to train all staff on the proper use and fit of any PPE.   
2. An Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA)  (See attachment A for example of AHA) will be completed for all identified cleaning and or work activities.   This analysis will outline all PPE, tools, supplies, procedures, and risks for each cleaning activity.  The AHA will for all activities will be kept at all times in the service support building (Container House) on the property.
3. A SDS for all cleaning chemicals will be kept laminated on site at all times.   Chemicals will be handled, mixed and stored by a competent person at all times.

Arrival Cleaning

At Villa Mandevilla we will attempt to leave as much time between guests as possible.  If there is a confirmed COVID-19 case at the hotel we will attempt to leave the spaces with contact with the confirmed case sit vacant for 72 hrs.    If that is not possible the space will be deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the below procedure.   Even when a space is able to be vacant for 72 hrs it will be deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the CDC recommendations and the site specific measures outlined  next: 

Indoor Cleaning & Disinfection & Sanitizing  all Hard Surfaces Upon Check out

1. Staff will use  appropriate PPE while conducting cleaning duties and in accordance with the AHA for the activity.
2. Develop and adhere to the activity specific Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).  The competent person responsible for the development and adherence to the AHA will be Cora Guillen (RN)  and or Patrick Roemer OSHA 30 Health and Safety Officer.
3. Ensure all laundry and reusable linens be washed in soap and water heated to 60 C or above in the washer and dryer in the SSB.
4. Ensure all dishes and food service items not the responsibility of the cook (plates, cutlery, cups, glassware, serving trays, coffee makers are properly sanitized and washed in water at 80 C or above.  Further any dish that can be washed in the dishwasher will be on the highest temp and longest setting.
5. Ensure all high touch exterior surfaces  and areas are sanitized on a frequent basis throughout the day, including door handles, sanitizing stations, temperature monitoring stations, counters, restrooms, and remotes are sanitized at least 2x daily
6. Follow CDC Guidelines as applicable or as a minimum as follows:

• Close off areas used by any person who is sick.
  • Villa Mandevilla  does not necessarily need to close operations, if they can close off affected areas.
• Open outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the area.
• Wait 24 hours before you clean or disinfect. If 24 hours is not feasible, wait as long as possible.
• Clean and disinfect all areas used by the person who is sick, such as offices, bathrooms, common areas, shared electronic equipment like tablets, touch screens, keyboards, remote controls, and coffee machines.
• Vacuum the space if needed. Use a vacuum equipped with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, if available.
  • Do not vacuum a room or space that has people in it. Wait until the room or space is empty to vacuum, such as at night, for common spaces, or during the day for private rooms.
  • Consider temporarily turning off room fans and the central HVAC system that services the room or space, so that particles that escape from vacuuming will not circulate throughout the facility.
• Once an area has been appropriately disinfected, it can be opened for use.
  • Workers without close contact with a person who is sick can return to work immediately after disinfection.
• If more than 7 days since the person who is sick visited or used the facility, additional cleaning and disinfection is not necessary.
  • Continue routine cleaning and disinfection. This includes everyday practices that businesses and communities normally use to maintain a healthy environment.

8.  Disinfect all Hard Surfaces upon check out.

DisinfectIng

1. Use of EPA-approved disinfectant
2. Follow the instructions on the label to ensure safe and effective use of the product.
3. Many products recommend:
   • Keeping the surface wet for a period of time (see product label).
   • Precautions such as wearing gloves and making sure you have good ventilation during use of the product.

4.   Always read and follow the directions on the label to ensure safe and effective use.

5.   Wear skin protection and consider eye protection for potential splash hazards

6.   Ensure adequate ventilation

7.   Use no more than the amount recommended on the label

1. Use water at room temperature for dilution (unless stated otherwise on the label)
2. Avoid mixing chemical products
3. Label diluted cleaning solutions
4. Store and use chemicals out of the reach of children and pets
5. You should never eat, drink, breathe or inject these products into your body or apply directly to your skin as they can cause serious harm. Do not wipe or bathe pets with these products or any other products that are not approved for animal use
6. Diluted household bleach solutions may also be used if appropriate for the surface.
   • Check the label to see if your bleach is intended for disinfection and has a sodium hypochlorite concentration of 5%–6%. Ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Some bleaches, such as those designed for safe use on colored clothing or for whitening may not be suitable for disinfection.
   • Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.
   • Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser.
   • Leave solution on the surface for at least 1 minute.
     
     
   • To make a bleach solution, mix:

• 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of room temperature water or:
• 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of room temperature water
• Bleach solutions will be effective for disinfection up to 24 hrs
• Alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol may also be used. 

Outdoor and Other Cleaning General CDC Standards will be Maintained as follows:

1. Clean the pool, and pool area.   Ensure the pool chemicals and water are kept to the proper standards at all times. 
2. Develop and adhere to the (AHA) Activity Hazard Analysis.  The competent person responsible for the development and adherence to the AHA will be Cora Guillen.
3. Ensure all high touch surfaces and areas are sanitized at least 2x
   throughout the day, including door handles, desks, counters, restrooms,
   buttons, etc. 
4. Ensure that regular maintenance is carried out on air conditioning vents and filters to promote good air quality. 
5. Escort guests to rooms if requested, and maintain social distancing. Do not enter the guest room; inform guests that they should have a question about operating an item in the room, or accessing an amenity, to call the Manager on Duty for assistance or be referred to the QR code for information.
6. Sanitize all guest luggage upon arrival at the hotel/resort.   Sanitize luggage carts before and after each use.
7. If requested, luggage can be delivered to the guest room, but will be left outside. Restrict access to luggage store rooms to employees only.
8. If golf carts are used to transport guests to their room, do not transport more than one group at a time. Sanitize the golf cart after each guest, and at the end of each day. 
9. Adjust all pool and beach seating/umbrellas to adhere to physical distancing. 
10. Sanitize seating after each guest/party use. 
11. Follow CDC Guidelines as applicable or as a minimum as follows: Outdoor areas like pools, playgrounds, hammocks, seating and parks generally require normal routine cleaning, but do not require disinfection.

• Do not spray disinfectant on outdoor equipment- it is not an efficient use of supplies and is not proven to reduce risk of COVID-19 to the public.
• High touch surfaces made of plastic or metal, such as grab bars and railings should be cleaned routinely.
• Cleaning and disinfection of wooden surfaces (play structures, benches, tables) or ground covers (mulch, sand) is not recommended.
• Sidewalks and roads should not be disinfected.
• Spread of COVID-19 from these surfaces is very low and disinfection is not effective.

Laundry

1. Launder items according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Use the 60 C or warmer water setting and dry items completely.
2. Wear disposable gloves when handling dirty laundry from a person who is sick.
3. Dirty laundry from a person who is sick can be washed with other people’s items.
4. Do not shake dirty laundry.
5. Clean and disinfect clothes hampers according to guidance above for surfaces.
6. Remove gloves, and wash hands right away.
7. Ensure all laundry and reusable linens be washed in soap and water heated to 60 C or above.

At Villa Mandevilla the only high trafficked areas /public spaces will be outdoors.   Theses spaces include the following for our  at our Hotel:

1. Beach and Palapa Area
2. Pool Area
3. Outdoor Dining Area

Enhanced cleaning will be performed in these areas as follows:

Outdoor Cleaning for Arrival

For arrival at Villa Mandevilla the beach and palapa and pool area will be deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment J) contained herein within 12 hrs  prior to the guest arrival. All personnel will wear PPE as required by the AHA for the specific activity.  See (Attachment A) for AHA information.   

Wood Finished Chairs

All hardwood finished chairs will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Wood Loungers

All hardwood finished wood loungers will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Rubber/Plastic Pool Mats

All rubber/plastic pool mats will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Hammocks

All hammocks will be sprayed with a sprayer and pre diluted EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 hydrogen peroxide cleaner from ECO Friendly of Belize City and their recommendations..  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Beach Toys

Plastic beach toys will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Paddle Boards/Paddles

Paddle boards/paddles will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Kayaks/ Paddles

Kayaks/paddles will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Life Jackets

All beach life jackets will be sprayed with a sprayer and pre diluted EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 Hydrogen peroxide cleaner from ECO Friendly in Belize City and their recommendations..  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Exterior Door Knobs

Exterior door knobs will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Exterior Window Pulls

Exterior window pulls will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol

Outdoor Shower/Knob

The outdoor shower/knob  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Roof Area

The roof area will be closed until further notice.

Outdoor Cleaning Daily 

Any daily cleaning for the beach will be accomplished at 6 am prior to any guests being awake and in the outdoor areas.  As we are a single group facility, If a guest is in the area no cleaning will take place for the day as the public space is only for one group.  All cleaning and maintenance personnel will wear PPE as required by the AHA for the specific activity.  See (Attachment A) for AHA information.  Every other day the beach and palapa and pool area will be cleaned, and disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment J) contained herein:

Wood Finished Chairs

Kayaks/paddles will be sprayed with a sprayer and diluted chlorine and or Lysol.  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Life Jackets

All beach life jackets will be sprayed with a sprayer and pre diluted EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 Hydrogen peroxide cleaner from ECO Friendly in Belize City and their recommendations..  Visible soil, food particles, or contaminated areas will be cleaned with Fabuloso as required prior to spraying.

Exterior Door Knobs

Exterior door knobs will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Exterior Window Pulls

Exterior window pulls will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol

Outdoor Shower/Knob

The outdoor shower/knob  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Roof Area

The roof area will be closed until further notice.

Departure cleaning for the beach will be accomplished immediately after guests check out.  All Personnel will wear PPE as required by the AHA for the specific activity.  See (Attachment A) for AHA information. The beach and palapa and pool area will be deep cleaned, and disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment J ) contained herein:

Exterior door knobs will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Exterior window pulls will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol

Outdoor Shower/Knob

The outdoor shower/knob  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution or Lysol.

Roof Area

The roof area will be closed until further notice.

Cleaning Interior

At Villa Mandevilla there are no interior public spaces.  Interior spaces will be defined, cleaned, disinfected and sanitized as the follows:  

Interior Spaces

1. Kitchen
2. Bathrooms
3. Bedrooms
4. Gameroom 
5. Living Room
6. Dining Room
7. Hallway/Computer Area
8. Stairway

Enhanced cleaning will be performed in these areas as follows:

Indoor Cleaning for Arrival

For arrival at Villa Mandevilla the villa will be deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment L) contained herein within 12 hrs  prior to the guest arrival. All personnel will wear PPE as required by the AHA for the specific activity.  See (Attachment A) for AHA information.   This process will be completed for every cleaning no matter if COVID-19 case is confirmed at the Villa or if no case is confirmed with the prior guests.  VIlla Mandevilla will be cleaned as if there is a suspected case of COVID-19 regardless of suspected COVID-19 case minus the additional steps outlined under the Terminal Cleaning later in this section under Departure Cleaning.  

Kitchen

Dishes Flatware and Appurtenances

The kitchen will be deep cleaned disinfected and sanitized as follows:   All soiled dishes will be rinsed and cleaned by hand in the sink with soap and water.  All dishes will then be sanitized with cascade dishwasher soap in the dishwasher.  The dishwasher will be set to HIGH temperature and operated on the long time cycle.

All dishes flatware and appurtenances, no matter if  they appear used or not, will be cleaned at this cleaning. If the dishes are unsoiled they will be sanitized with cascade dishwasher soap in the dishwasher.  The dishwasher will be set to HIGH temperature and operated on the long time cycle.

Refrigerator

The refrigerator will be cleaned with soap and water.  All  pop out surfaces/drawers and bins will be removed and cleaned.  Then all surfaces will be sterilized with the EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 food safe serializing solution and allowed to air dry.

Sink

Once all cleaning in the entire villa is complete the sink, faucet and appurtenances will be cleaned last with dish soap.  Once cleaned the sink, faucet and appurtenances will be sanitized with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and not used again until arrival of the guests.

Coffee Pots/ Blenders and Small Appliances  

All appurtenances that can be washed in the dishwasher will be rinsed and cleaned by hand in the sink with soap and water.  All appurtenances such as the (coffee karaff  or blender bucket) will then be sanitized with cascade dishwasher soap in the dishwasher.  The dishwasher will be set to HIGH temperature and operated on the long cycle.  All coffee pots, blenders and kitchen appurtenances  no matter if  they appear used or not will be cleaned at this cleaning.

Cabinets and Solid Surfaces 

Cabinets and solid surfaces will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry.Once cleaned the cabinets and solid surfaces/counters and appurtenances will be sanitized with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and not used again until arrival of the guests.

Water Cooler

The water cooler will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry. Once cleaned and let to dry,  the water cooler and appurtenances will be sanitized with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and not used again until arrival of the guests.

Garbage

Garbage will be contained in  the plastic bag inside of the trash can.  If a COVID-19 case was confirmed in the house with the prior guests the plastic bag will be closed with red tape and will be marked with a sharpie:  WARNING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL  COVID -19 DO NOT OPEN!  DANGER!! PLEASE READ!    The exterior of the bag will be sprayed with a diluted chlorine solution and let stand a min of 10 minutes.  The bag will then be double bagged with a new second bag the same markings and red tape will be used on the new exterior bag   WARNING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL  COVID -19 DO NOT OPEN!  DANGER!! PLEASE READ!  the bag will then be disposed of via normal means.  If no covid is suspected the bag will be closed and tied off.  The exterior of the bag will be sprayed with a diluted chlorine solution and let stand a min of 10 minutes.  The bag will then be disposed of via normal means.  Clean the trash can inside and out with fabuloso and disinfect the can inside and out with diluted chlorine.

Floor

The floor will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the floor will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Walls

Where soiled, the walls will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once cleaned, the walls will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Light Switches

All light switches in the room will be cleaned with Fabuloso and will be disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution.  The chlorine solution will be left to dry.

Door Handles

All door handles  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Windows

WIndows will be cleaned with ammonia based window cleaner such as windex.  The cleaner will be careful not to mix ammonia based cleaner with a wet chlorine cleaner nearby. 

Bathrooms

Cabinets and Solid Surfaces 

Cabinets and solid surfaces will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry. Once cleaned the cabinets and solid surfaces/counters, and appurtenances will be sanitized with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and not used again until arrival of the guests.

Sink

Once all cleaning in the hotel is complete, the sink, faucet and appurtenances will be cleaned last with dish soap.  Once cleaned the sink, faucet and appurtenances will be sanitized with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8, and will not be used again prior to guest occupancy.

Toilet

The toilet will be cleaned inside and out by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once cleaned, the toilet, and appurtenances inside and out will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.  Make sure the lid to the toilet is closed when flushing to reduce the risk of spreading contaminant.

Shower

The shower will be cleaned by Fabuloso  to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the toilet, and appurtenances will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Floors

The floor will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the floor, and appurtenances will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Walls

Where soiled the walls will be cleaned by Fabuloso  to remove soils and debris.  Once cleaned, the walls will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Remotes

All remotes  will be cleaned with Fabuloso to remove soils and debris and then sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8  to remove soils and debris.  Then they will be left to dry.

TV

The TV  will be cleaned with Fabuloso to remove soils and debris and then sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8  to remove soils and debris.  Then it will be left to dry.

Mirrors/Windows

Mirrors will be cleaned with ammonia based window cleaner such as windex.  The cleaner will be careful not to mix ammonia based cleaner with a wet chlorine cleaner nearby. 

Light Switches

All light switches in the room will be cleaned with Fabuloso and will be disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution.  The chlorine solution will be left to dry.

Door Handles

All door handles  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Hair Dryers

All hair dryers  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Bedrooms

Towels and Linens

Cleaning personnel will wear the proper PPE when processing towels and linens.  The linens and towels will be carefully gathered and placed in a large black trash bag. The cleaner will be careful not to expose themselves to the linens as much as possible taking care to not let the soiled linens touch the body or exposed skin.  If a COVID case was confirmed in the house with the prior guests the plastic bag will be closed with red tape and will be marked with a sharpie:  WARNING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL  COVID -19 USE PROPER PPE WHEN HANDLING!  DANGER!! PLEASE READ!    The exterior of the bag will be sprayed with a diluted chlorine solution and let stand a min of 10 minutes. The bag will then be moved to the hotel laundry facility via normal means using proper PPE.  If no covid is suspected the bag will be closed and tied off.  The exterior of the bag will be sprayed with a diluted chlorine solution and let stand a min of 10 minutes.  The bag will then be moved to the SSB laundry facility via normal means. The laundry will then be laundered in the laundry machine with laundry soap and water on the highest temperature setting (Min 60C) and the longest cycle.  Laundry will be dried in the dryer on the highest temp setting.  

NEW Linens-

Cleaners will put on new gloves prior to installing new linens and towels in the rooms.  Bed pillows and comforters will be sprayed/misted with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and will be sun dried for a minimum of 2 hrs. 

Floors

The floor will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the floor, and appurtenances will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Walls

Where soiled, the walls will be cleaned by Fabuloso  to remove soils and debris.  Once cleaned, the walls will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Cabinets and Solid Surfaces 

Cabinets and solid surfaces will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry. Once dry the cabinet and or solid surface will be sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8. Then they will be left to dry.

Closet and Hangers

Closet Doors and door handles will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry.  Plastic and metal hangers will be cleaned with soap and water and left to dry.  Once cleaned, the closet door closet knobs, and hangers, and appurtenances will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Remotes

All remotes will be cleaned with Fabuloso and then sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8. Then they will be left to dry.

TV

The TV will be cleaned using Fabuloso.  The TV will then be sanitized using  EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8.  Then it will be left to dry.

Door Handles

All door handles  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry, sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Irons

All irons  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry, sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Mirrors

Mirrors will be cleaned with ammonia based window cleaner such as windex.  The cleaner will be careful not to mix ammonia based cleaner with a chlorine cleaner nearby.

Windows

WIndows will be cleaned with ammonia based window cleaner such as windex.  The cleaner will be careful not to mix ammonia based cleaner with a wet chlorine cleaner nearby. 

Air Conditioning/Maintenance

All air conditioning filters will be cleaned and the A/C’s will be cleaned using Fabuloso.  Once dryed the A/C’s and filter will be sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and left to dry.  

Gameroom

Floors

The floor will be cleaned by Fabuloso  to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the floor, and appurtenances will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Walls

Where soiled the walls will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once cleaned, the walls will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Pool Table

The pool table and appurtenances will be cleaned with soap and water. Once dry the pool table will be misted with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 from ECO Friendly and left to dry. 

Remotes

All remotes will be cleaned with Fabuloso and then sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8. Then they will be left to dry.

TV

The TV will be cleaned using Fabuloso.  The TV will then be sanitized using  EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8.  Then it will be left to dry.

Light Switches

All light switches in the room will be cleaned with Fabuloso and will be disinfected with a diluted chlorine solution.  The chlorine solution will be left to dry.

Handrails

All handrails will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Door Handles

All door handles  will be cleaned with Fabuloso and when dry sanitized with diluted chlorine solution and let dry.

Air Conditioning/Maintenance

All air conditioning filters will be cleaned and the A/C’s will be cleaned using Fabuloso.  Once dryed the A/C’s and filter will be sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 and left to dry.  

Dining Room

Table and Chairs

The dining room table and chairs will be cleaned with soap and water.  Once dry, the dining  table chairs and appurtenances will be cleaned with EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8 from ECO Friendly  and left to dry.

The floor will be cleaned by Fabuloso to remove soils and debris.  Once  cleaned, the floor will be sanitized with a diluted chlorine solution.

Indoor Cleaning for Stay

During stays at Villa Mandevilla in-house cleaning will be discouraged if stays are less than one week.   If cleaning is requested, the villa will be cleaned as requested and only as requested.  Time inside the villa will be minimized at all times.   Cleaning will only be done at times when guests are not present.   Cleaning will be accomplished in the manner as described below. As requested areas will be cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment L) contained herein.  All personnel will wear PPE as required by the AHA for the specific activity.  See Attachment A for AHA information. 

Cleaning Interior

At Villa Mandevilla there are no interior public spaces.  Interior spaces will be defined, cleaned, disinfected and sanitized as the follows if requested during stay per the above standards.

Indoor Cleaning for Departure and Terminal Cleaning (If Suspected/Confirmed COVID-19 Case

For departure and between guests at Villa Mandevilla the villa will be deep cleaned, disinfected and sanitized per the checklist (Attachment L) contained herein.   This will be accomplished to ensure that the villas cleanliness is maintained at the highest levels.  Where possible the villa will sit empty for 72 hrs  prior to departure/terminal  cleaning.  The windows will be opened during times when security is present.  Opening the windows and allowing the villa to sit empty will minimize risk associated with managers, staff and employees exposure to COVID-19.  If it is not possible for the Villa to sit for 72 hrs, the Villa will be vacated for as long as possible up to 72hrs and then will be cleaned for arrival.  The departure and arrival cleaning will be exactly the same.  See arrival cleaning for details.  

Terminal Cleaning

In the case of a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case at Villa Mandevilla Terminal Cleaning will be conducted by the head house cleaner who is trained in terminal cleaning. 

Fogging and Airing Out

The entire villa (All Rooms) will be fogged using a fogging machine with EcoKlean F1 Air 2 until coated per the product representatives recommendations.  The villa will then be left to stand closed for 24hrs. 

After the villa sits closed for 24 hrs ,the entire villa will be opened and left to air out and  stand for 48 hrs and guarded outside by our security guard.

Terminal Cleaning

Once 72 hours have passed the villa will be cleaned by the supervising house cleaner who is trained in terminal cleaning as described in Arrival Cleaning of this plan.   In addition to the normal PPE worn by cleaners they will wear TYVEK Suits and Face shields for this cleaning.   Cleaners will treat all items in the house as hazardous until sterilized.

Air Conditioning/Maintenance

All air conditioning filters will be changed to new, and the A/C’s will be cleaned using Fabuloso.  Once dryed the A/C’s will be sanitized using EcoKlean F1 Sanitizer/Disinfectant 8  and left to dry.   

Linens

Severely soiled linens 

Severely soiled linens will be disposed of by cleaning personnel. The GSPM will make the determination of “Severely Soiled.”   Staff will wear the proper PPE when processing towels and linens suspected of COVID-19 contamination including TYVEK suits and face shields.   The linens and towels will be carefully gathered and placed in a large black trash bag. The cleaner will be careful not to expose themselves to the linens and will take painstaking care to not let the soiled linens touch the body or exposed skin.  The plastic bag will be closed with red tape and will be marked with a sharpie:  WARNING HAZZARDOUS MATERIAL  COVID -19 USE PROPER PPE WHEN HANDLING!  DANGER!! PLEASE READ!    The exterior of the bag will be sprayed with a diluted chlorine solution and let stand a min of 10 minutes.   The bag will then be disposed of by taking it to the dump in San Pedro.  

Salvageable linens 

Salvageable linens will be bagged in the same manner as described above and then will be taken to the SSB for processing .  Linines will be soaked in a chlorine dilution for 20 minutes. The laundry will then be laundered in the laundry machine with laundry soap and water on the highest temperature setting (Min 60C) and the longest cycle.  Laundry will be dried in the dryer on the highest temp setting.  

Cleaners to shower on site

Once the terminal cleaning is complete, and prior to leaving the resort, the cleaners will use one of the two showers located in the SSB.  They will have a fresh change of clothes and will launder their clothes in the SSB prior to leaving the property.
